About the Program
Ever wondered how children learn language, why accents exist or how AI chatbots understand speech? Linguistics helps you answer these questions by exploring the science of language.
Students in Glendon’s Linguistics, Language and Society program examine how people communicate, how languages develop and change and how language connects individuals, cultures and societies. Through the study of language, communication and cognition, you'll develop strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills that can be applied across diverse fields, including education, technology, communications, research, healthcare and public service.
You'll benefit from a multilingual and multicultural environment, as well as the option to turn your degree into an international Bachelor of Arts for an even deeper understanding of language and society.
