About the Program
Join the Canadian leader in Human Resource Management (HRM) education. Get specialized training in all aspects of Human Resource Management by studying people and how they work in today’s complex world. You’ll learn to become a leader in HRM as you study such diverse subjects as training and development, career management, industrial and labour relations, compensation, staffing, research methods, HR analytics and employment law. The program builds strong skills in communication, problem-solving and decision-making, preparing you to handle real workplace challenges. You can customize your degree through HRM+ by concentrating your electives in a specialized area of HRM or an industry that interests you. With many opportunities for applied learning and co-op placements, you’ll gain practical experience while studying. As part of your degree, you will complete all the components of the professional Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, so you can take the certification exam immediately after graduating. If you’re interested in working with people and shaping workplace environments, this program provides a strong foundation for career success.

Applied Learning Opportunities
Human Resource Management offers hands-on learning through applied coursework and industry connections. You’ll work collaboratively on case studies, simulations and real-world projects with organizations, building practical HR and management skills. Guest lecturers from the industry provide insight into current workplace practices and career pathways. Optional paid co-op opportunities provide valuable experience working with leading Canadian organizations, helping you build professional networks and gain workplace confidence before you graduate. You can tailor your degree to focus on a particular industry or HR specialization, or combine your HR degree with a minor in another field so you can enter the workforce with the competitive advantage.
